Perplexing!!! Is this a metro city? No mam it doesn’t have any trait of that. ‘I know’ she says. She may be one among the beautiful innocent babes that Kolkata may boast of. She is worthy to be praised for her mild behavior & innumerous ‘qualities’ (I'm sure she’ll fight for this word) that the dudes here lack of.

Step out of ‘Subhash Chandra Bose’ airport, Kolkata you can see a hell lot of cab drivers with a usual pose of bottom’s Up of T-Shirt, patting their sweet rather cute pot belly. A particular Bengali dude will be with ‘Zero’ size in Chest, biceps, triceps, calves & all sought of muscles except tummy.Pls don’t confused with size zero of enchanting Kareena Kapoor

When I say about pot-belly well known as ‘Kudavayar’ in Malayalam;it is a favourite body part in Bengal. Maintained by the constant & continuous use of Potatoes in every possible dish (exceptions in kheer!!) ‘sex appeal’ factor of dudes here is also linked with this pot belly. Proportionate to your financial capacities, size of pot belly may differ.

In this city of joy lack of planning reiterates everywhere. It may be the ditches enroute to Park Circus, drainage lines in mid of state highways,’ jelly’ tarred road on flyovers, tram lines of 1940’s,localized personal assistants for traffic sergeants etc etc.You can bribe a traffic sergeant for 30 rupees also after violating traffic rules.If you are not a resident of Salt lake city, power cut for 2 hours a day becomes your routine. Now enter a govt.office for anything, the reply of ‘hobey na’(trans: cannot do) reciprocates .Enter the metro train here,there are chances to get suffocated as the air conditioner may remain dead.Even the footpaths at park circus, the cities 'centre' gets laid with dried dungs.

But still...Its city of joy!!! How come? asked my friend. People here are lovely.They are ready to help you unless any physical support is required.They enjoy every part of their life. Shop closes here prior to dawn & everyone takes a nap after lunch.Even shop keepers close their setups for this habituated nap.Hence they set apart time for themselves.Let it be durga pooja,lakshmi pooja,kali pooja or what ever pooja;every festival is celebrated utmost without losing a single portion of its charm here.Even being a metro city the minimum fare of bus is still Rs.5 & you can flaunt a decent hot cup of tea for Rs.3.Night life may be less over here, nevertheless the sportiveness in it will be memorable.

I pointed out at the start that the ladies here are better.Undoubtedly I am truely masculine(smiles!).May be this city being a city of happenings I too find it interesting, lovely & I am bonded with this for the last 3.5years.
